I am a serious amateur photographer who started much too late in life! The wonderful visual, connected world we enjoy gave me the push to learn more, go out and practise often, buy a dSLR, and join a camera club. I am glad I did - my creativity has soared. Since 2006, my efforts have paid off and I have had my photographs published in books and many magazines and newspapers, as well as exhibited - they can be viewed at the "Published" sets on the right-hand side here.

About the B&W image above: Really cool abstract.... This is a beautiful abstract photo with layers that beg for further study. I look at a lot of photos and it's takes something very different to stop me and make me comment. This is one of them. Fantastic composition, dof, and focus. A photo I would love to have taken. Bond Blackwell on the Nikon FB page
