HOW TO  WRITE WINNING NONFICTION BOOK PROPOSALS

W
ithout a complete and effective book proposal, non-fiction writers have no hope of being published. How to Write Winning Non-fiction Book Proposals unravels publishers' and agents' requirements for the submission of non-fiction ideas and teaches writers how to develop a proposal that results in offers to publish.

Using a lively PowerPoint presentation, a unique questionnaire, and annotated examples, this workshop outlines the essential components of a winning proposal and starts the process of crafting the key sections in the style and format that publishers and agents prefer, including:

    - about the book
    - about the market
    - about the competition
    - about promotion
    - about the author
    - chapter outlines (summaries)
    - sample chapters
    - supporting documents

Participants have the opportunity to write sections of their proposals and the group provides constructive criticism of these drafts.
